Reena chandra
Reena is the President and Executive Director of Combat Blindness International, a nonprofit dedicated to alleviate preventable blindness globally. Reena earned her Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health. She was the Director of Development for the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing at the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association. Reena brings 20 years of experience in strategic planning, development, grant making and management for nonprofit organizations, higher education and international NGOs.
Combat Blindness International partnered with UW-Whitewater Enactus to develop the Aadya Initiative which trains young women to be mobile vision screeners, putting them on a path for financial independence while serving the rural poor. The UWW Enactus team’s work on the Aadya Initiative led them to the National Title in 2021.
