Overview

ProChapina is a nonprofit organization based in Antigua, Guatemala that serves to support, educate, uplift, and empower Guatemalan women in society. ProChapina offers a variety of professional training education programs to women, especially single mothers, to help them gain essential skills, professionalism, and technique that they can transfer into the work force. Additionally, ProChapina aims to combat extreme poverty and social vulnerability by assisting families with housing, housing projects, childcare, and trainings.

A collaborative environment

ProChapina is partnering with the UW-Whitewater Enactus Chapter to spread awareness, market, and help fundraise for the organization’s goals and programs. Through skills training in cosmetology, confections, and sewing, ProChapina opens doors to self-sufficiency, lighting up young women’s and families futures with opportunity. But here's the catch – they need our help to keep the flame alive. UW-Whitewater Enactus is collaborating with ProChapina to further develop and jumpstart product production and workshops. With your help, ProChapina will receive the support they need to hit the ground running in their mission.

The Impact

The impact of ProChapina’s mission is undeniable— it causes a ripple effect of empowerment, touching the lives of not just one, but countless families. With over 450 families already transformed, the journey is far from over. Join us in rewriting stories of resilience and triumph. Let's empower more single mothers, because every woman deserves the chance to thrive. Together, let's make a difference.

Sustainability

With both ProChapina and UW-Whitewater Enactus collaborating, together, we'll fuel innovation as our partners in Guatemala turn your generosity into products, paving the way for sustainable futures. With the development of products, tourist experiences, workshops, etc., ProChapina will continue to thrive, flourish, and nourish a community of well deserving women, children, and families.
